Conceptual Design (CD):

Our talented Engineers and Designers have years of experience in the main industries including Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Renewable Energies, therefore, we understand our client’s needs and work hard to help them achieve their goals. 

We define and follow a well-developed design process that help ensure quality and identify possibilities for improvement. In the conceptual design stage, we provide our clients with the following services:

• Meetings with clients to understand and document design objectives
• Consulting services for clients to refine ideas and identify improvement opportunities
• Translating client needs and standards into technical data and preliminary specifications 
• Developing concepts and conducting feasibility studies
• Developing preliminary sketches, drawings, and location plans
• Providing rough cost estimates and project schedules (+/- 30% Accuracy)
• Developing proposals on cost, functionality, and features of the concepts
• Helping clients select the most prevalent concept(s)

The conceptual design stage of any project can be rather challenging and time consuming, however, at M&E we are committed to providing our clients with simplified and cost effective solution(s) to their most complicated problems. We spend as much time as possible with our clients to understand their needs and provide them with a set of integrated ideas and concepts that can provide a solid foundation for the detail design stage.

Detailed Engineering (DD):

Detailed Design is the stage where all design efforts in the form of drawings, calculations and technical documents are finalized and approved for construction. Our services in the Detailed Engineering phase include but are not limited to: 

• Reviewing and finalizing Cost Estimates, Project Schedules, and Manpower requirements 
• Finalizing calculations, drawings, P&IDs, and Materials/Equipment/Instrumentation lists
• Reviewing and finalizing Construction Scope of Work (SOW)
• Reviewing and finalizing all other documents created during FEED 
• Creating Instrumentation, Process, and Mechanical Datasheets (DS)
• Preparing RFQs and RFPs for procurement of equipment and General Contractors
• Preparing applications for required permits and/or licenses required for construction

Upon completion of Detailed Engineering activities, we ensure all project requirements and documents are communicated to the contractor(s). We also provide our clients with a broad range of Construction and Commissioning Management services. Our experienced construction and commissioning managers act on our client’s behalf to ensure proper and safe execution of project requirements. Front End Engineering (FEED):

FEED services is to expand all findings in the Conceptual Design stage into a refined start-up package that justifies our client’s investment and provide basis for the Detailed Design phase. The documents developed in this stage can also be used for preparing tender packages to select project contractors. At the FEED stage, we provide our clients with the following services:

• Re-evaluating and refining concept(s) selected in Conceptual Design (CD) stage 
• Developing Economic Analysis and Cost Estimate reports (+/- 10% Accuracy) 
• Developing Project Schedule, Execution, budget, and Manpower requirements 
• Defining main systems, subsystems, and required interfaces
• Conducting Hazard & Operability (HAZOP) studies and defining Safety System requirements
• Generating Flow Diagrams, Line Lists, Equipment/Instrument/Load Lists, P&IDs, and Site Plans
• Performing design calculations and determining target specifications
• Defining preliminary material requirements and Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Preparing Approved for Design (AFD) Engineering drawings and Scope of Work
